Academic Partners


  The Concept Web Alliance (CWA) is a global collaborative community addressing the increasing problems associated with information overload and the interoperability of data. Over 90 signatories from both the academic and private sector signed the CWA declaration and collaborate actively in numerous international initiatives. 

The Netherlands eScience Center (NLeSC) supports and reinforces multidisciplinary and data-intensive research through creative and innovative use of ICT in all its manifestations. To stimulate this enhanced Science (eScience) NLeSC works as a network organization focused on collaboration, with the aim to change scientific practice by making large-scale data analysis possible across multiple disciplines.


DTL is a life sciences sector association of leading universities, research institutes, university medical centers, science funders, ‘topsectoren’ and private companies from the health, nutrition, crop breeding and industrial microbiology sectors that brings together the excellent capabilities of its members in a platform where researchers from academia and industry find easy access to the available expertise, support, tools and technological infrastructures of the DTL partners.

The Netherlands Bioinformatics Centre (NBIC) is one of the co-founders of the Concept Web Alliance and has taken the initiative to sponsor the development of the Phortosgroup’s  novel innovation and valorization approach. NBIC is the Dutch network of bioinformatics experts active in research, education and support. Over 100 bioinformatics scientists, including 40 ‘NBIC faculty’ members, structurally collaborate in a networked, supra-institutional organisation.
